Its going to be quite a while before leisure shopping makes a comeback. The impact on household consumables purchases (groceries and staples) is
particularly severe

In a survey conducted amongst 1100 urban respondents across the country recently some interesting shifts were observed in traditional lifestyles. Many families in urban India were forced to try out shopping for groceries online and the experience has been positive. So much so that 64% of the respondents who purchased from stores, intend to switch to one line bulk purchases henceforth!

Similar changes were observed in other aspects like reading, viewing, holidays and investments.
